MVS Parent, Class of 2025

Our son started at MVS in ninth grade and is now a graduate - I only wish we had brought him here earlier! His teachers were fantastic, and the curriculum has prepared him well for college. We're so happy that MVS has helped our child thrive.

  • Tuesday, October 27 - Sneak Peek

    Current and prospective families are invited to campus 6-8pm to hear from division directors, faculty, and students as families approach starting in the next division at MVS. This is a great opportunity to learn more about lower, middle, and upper schools at MVS. Let us know you're coming here.

  • Monday, November 16 - Experience MVS group tours

    Join us for an in-depth group tour experience! Prospective families interested in grades pre-K through 12 are invited to tour The Miami Valley School on Monday morning, November 16. Register here for one of the start times.
    The next monthly group tour opportunity is on     December 14.

  • Thursday, November 19 - MVS Academic Excellence

    The Immersion Method is on display in this evening event 6-8pm as current and prospective caregivers attend master classes with MVS faculty. Registration link coming.

  • Tuesday, January 12 - Affording MVS webinar

Admissions Process

  • Step 1:

    Application Form & Parent Questionnaire

    To start your child's admission process, begin by filling out the application form and parent questionnaire.

  • Step 2:

    Supporting Documents

    Depending on your child's age, this next component of your application might include letters of recommendation from your child's current teachers, school records and transcripts, and a personal applicant statement. All materials are submitted to MVS through our secure application platform and kept strictly confidential.

  • Step 3:

    Visit MVS

    Applicants to the early childhood school (grades JPK-K) are invited to take part in small-group visit days on a Saturday morning in February or early March. Individual visits or virtual visits are arranged for students who aren't able to attend the Saturday visit. 

    Applicants to grades 1-12 may be invited to visit MVS on a school day and/or conduct a video chat with admissions and division staff once their application files are complete.

    Applicants may be asked to engage with MVS staff for additional assessment in addition to the above steps.

  • Step 4:

    Admissions Decision

    Admissions decisions are issued by the end of March for applicants with completed application files by early March, including all supporting documents and the applicant visit.

    Early decisions are given for applicants to grades 1-12 who complete the application process in the fall or winter for grades in which space is known to be available for the following fall.

    Families are encouraged to submit their applications by February 1 for priority consideration.

  • Transportation

    Public school bus service to and from MVS is available to eligible students in the Beavercreek and Centerville school districts.

    To help facilitate the organization of carpools, MVS provides caregivers with resources to identify families who live near them.
